Pacific Northwest Flute Gathering
a.k.a. “Vashon Island Flute Gathering”
Thursday, October 3 – Sunday, October 6, 2019
Vashon Island, Washington
Now in its 23rd year, the gathering on Vashon Island is one of the longest-running residential retreats featuring the Native American style flute, indigenous to the North American continent. The intimate location is a wooded setting directly on the beach of Puget Sound. All classes, concerts, meals and housing are on-site and are included in the retreat tuition. A range of housing accommodations is available either in cabins or the retreat center.
October 5th-October 8th 2017. Our gathering is lead by some of the finest teachers, performers and recording artists in the US. Their collaborative approach makes for a very dynamic and student-focused learning experience. In addition to the scheduled classes and concerts, each of the leaders is available for private lessons during the weekend retreat.
Timothy J.P. Gomez will be performing at the Abounding Grace Lutheran Church at 7:00pm on March 31st 2017 in Tucson, Arizona. Prior to the performance, Timothy will be conducting a 2 hour workshop entitled "Harnessing the Wind": How to use Articulation, Embellishments and Other Controlled Air Release Techniques on the Native American Style Flute to Inspirit Your Creativity and Refine Your Compositions.
